Anthropic gives Claude subscribers monthly Agent SDK credits
Anthropic says Claude Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise subscribers will get a monthly Agent SDK credit starting June 15, 2026. The credit covers Claude Agent SDK use, the claude -p command, GitHub Actions integration, and third-party apps built on the SDK.
Anthropic is changing how Claude subscription plans pay for Agent SDK use. Starting June 15, 2026, eligible Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise users can claim a separate monthly credit that covers Claude Agent SDK usage and related non-interactive automation features, according to the company.
The update means Agent SDK usage and the claude -p command will no longer count against a subscriber’s normal plan limits. Anthropic said those limits remain reserved for interactive use of Claude Code, Claude Cowork, and Claude conversations in the web, desktop, and mobile apps.

For shared or production workloads, move billing to the Claude Developer Platform with an API key instead of relying on per-user credits. If you use GitHub Actions or other non-interactive jobs, verify whether they should be tied to a subscription account or a pay-as-you-go API key before this change lands.
The credit is available only on subscription plans, not on Claude Developer Platform accounts that use an API key. Anthropic said pay-as-you-go billing for API key users will continue as before, with no monthly credit added.
Under the new setup, each eligible user gets a credit tied to their own account. The credit is not pooled across a team, cannot be transferred, and resets with each billing cycle. Unused credit does not carry over to the next month.
The monthly amount depends on the plan. Anthropic said Pro users get $20, Max 5x users get $100, Max 20x users get $200, Team Standard seats get $20, Team Premium seats get $100, Enterprise usage-based accounts get $20, and Enterprise seat-based Premium seats get $200. Members of seat-based Enterprise plans on Standard seats are not eligible, according to the company.
The credit covers Claude Agent SDK use in Python or TypeScript projects, the claude -p command in Claude Code’s non-interactive mode, the Claude Code GitHub Actions integration, and third-party apps that authenticate through the Agent SDK. It does not apply to interactive Claude Code sessions, Claude chats in the web or desktop apps, or Claude Cowork.
Anthropic said the credit works in a specific order. Agent SDK usage draws from the monthly credit first. Once that runs out, requests move to extra usage at standard API rates, but only if the user has enabled extra usage. If extra usage is not enabled, Agent SDK requests stop until the credit refreshes.
For Team and Enterprise admins, Anthropic said the change is designed for individual experimentation and automation, not shared production workloads. The company said teams running production automation at scale should use the Claude Developer Platform with an API key for predictable pay-as-you-go billing.
Anthropic said eligible users will receive an email with instructions to claim the credit before June 15, 2026. After a one-time opt-in, the credit will refresh automatically each billing cycle.
